In my professional life if there was anything I wish I had developed more as a young  man... it was my skills in "people interaction".  This included my interaction with customers (teachers do have customers... they are called students!!!), coworkers, and supervisors.  I would have spared myself a lot of pain and frustration had I learned more effective ways of dealing with people. 

I have observed people who carry a high level of stress in their life and who are at conflict with people in their personal life or workplace are often candidates for serious development of people skills.   Do not tell me that is the other folks who are at fault... it always begins with YOU!   Your attitude is the key!

This is great review of key professional interrelationship skills that are always in need of refining.   If you will take 10% of your career time and continually develop these basic skills you will find yourself in constant demand as an employee, a person with many friends and a personal life that is worth having.
